The Ready Room is the center of the universe for aviators at sea. We brief, debrief, study (well...a little), watch movies, read mail, and make fun of other poor schmucks trying to put it down on a pitching deck. In a healthy squadron, it's an island of respite in a sea of insanity.
Unless, of course, you have a maniacal Skipper, XO, or department head (and who doesn't?) micro-managing every ounce of spontaneity out of the squadron by trotting out the morale-suppression team anytime there is slack time or a light-hearted moment. That's when a six month deployment can seem like a life sentence.

Eventually, every fighter pilot learns that anyone at your six o'clock can be a threat.
So you learn to keep your head on a swivel...and never let the bastards get angles on you!
You won't find any pencil-necked bureaucrats loitering around in this Ready Room. We only let people with a fighter pilot mentality in our spaces. For them, we've put together a library of resources, tactical briefs, the latest Intel, our Doofer Book, and lots more.
So sit back and take a load off. The XO is SIQ, mailcall is going down, and rumor has it that tonight's movie has Jamie Lee Curitis. It just doesn't get any better than that!
